Independent Project & Research
Programs
The traditional model of passively learning facts and reciting them out of context can no longer prepare students for today's world. During 7EDU's independent project-based and research based programs, under the guidance of our world-class project mentors, students have the opportunities to solve highly complex real-life problems while building up fundamental skills (reading, writing and math) and problem solving skills such as research gathering, information synthesizing, data analysis, utilizing technologies, and time management.

Summer 2025 Research Projects
Computational Bio Research Project - online only, Jul 7 – Sep 12, 2025, Tue and Thur, 7PM-9PM. This 10-week summer program offers students hands-on research in computational biology and AI, leading to a publishable-style paper and interactive demo—ideal for those passionate about biology, computer science, and real-world data science applications.
FULL - Machine Learning Research Project: AI Agents for Social Media Simulation - in person only. Jul 14 – Sept 20, 2025, Wed & Fri, 4:30-6:30PM. Explore AI and behavioral science in this hands-on summer research program. Students will build AI agents to simulate social media usage and uncover what makes content addictive—while gaining key skills in machine learning and real-world research.

Individual Business Project
Through the research project, students will conduct an in-depth investigation of an area of business, and get a better understanding of what the business arena is all about, how a business operates and which business functions are needed in any business enterprise within the global economic framework.

Individual Engineering Project
As a cornerstone of STEAM education, Engineering serves to solve real-life problems through applying science and mathematics. The goal here is to expose students to the engineering design process, multidisciplinary nature of engineering, problem-solving, data analysis, team building, professional ethics, sustainability, and project management.

Art and Design Project
These dynamic and hand-on projects offer students the opportunity to explore their creative potential through fine art, graphic design, fashion, illustration, game design, animation, jewelry, architectural, and product design. With guidance from experienced instructors, students will develop their technical skills and artistic expression while creating projects that can be included in their art portfolios for college applications or submitted to art competitions.
